Waterseal were appointed by Simpsons of York to deliver specialist waterproofing works as part of the conservation and enhancement of Clifford’s Tower in York. Our scope involved installing waterproofing to the new roof deck and viewing platform to protect historic stonework and new structural elements from water ingress.
Working within this highly sensitive heritage environment, the installation was carefully detailed around interfaces between historic fabric and new construction, ensuring long-term watertight performance while preserving the character of this nationally significant landmark.
