Waterseal have completed waterproofing works on the Grand bridge at Blenheim Palace.
The Grand Bridge is a grade I listed structure which bridges the valley between the palace and the grand avenue.
The bridge was constructed between 1706 and 1725 to the designs of the architect Sir John Vanbrugh.
The new waterproofing system was required to be installed on a rough and variable surface.
Having considered the technical solutions available, Waterseal were able to provide an independent solution and find the right product for this historic structure.
The Wolfin 1B system was an ideal solution, incorporating geotextile protection above and below the membrane. The system was terminated using fixing profiles following the complex shape of the bridge.
