Waterseal were appointed by Balfour Beatty to deliver specialist waterproofing works as part of the Newport Bridge maintenance programme over the River Tees. Our scope included removal of the existing waterproofing system and installation of a renewed bridge deck solution to protect the structure from water ingress and long-term deterioration.
Working alongside the wider civils and highways teams during a planned A1032 closure, we delivered a durable, compliant waterproofing system supporting the continued performance of this Grade II-listed crossing between Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees. and continued safe use of this iconic Tees crossing.
